'British Grand Prix 1969'

Jackie Stewart in his Tyrrell Matra-Ford leads Jochen Rindt's Lotus 49 through Woodcote corner during their epic duel in the 1969 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The artist Andrew Kitson was
10 years old at the time and recalls watching this fantastic race from Stowe corner..

Painted in 2000, the race winner Sir Jackie Stewart signed the original painting at
Silverstone in 2001. Now in a private collection in the USA.
