With track conditions made treacherous by much spilt oil, Simon Hadfield, driving the Lola T70 Spyder owned by Howard Jones, holds on to win at an average speed of 86.67 mph, having also recorded the fastest lap. Behind him is Roger Wills who took 2nd place after an excellent
combative drive from 20th on the grid, in the McLaren M1B of Dodkins Motorsport.
