Andrew spent many weekends at Snetterton as a child, the local circuit to the family home in
Cambridge. The circuit hosted big international meetings in
those days for F2, Sportscars,
European touring cars and in the late 1960s/70s Formula 5000. Grand Prix drivers would
occasionally compete at Snetterton and open paddock access to meet the F1 stars and collect
autographs was great fun, very different to today! Here Jack Sears (left) chats to Mike Spence
and 1965 World Champion Jim Clark at the 1965 F2 meeting. Graham Hill, Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme, Jochen Rindt and Jackie Stewart were also at the circuit that day in the F2 race.
