Andrew spent many weekends at circuits around the country, helping his father with the race
cars or taken to other meetings to spectate. The favourite was Snetterton as it was the local circuit, here a field of Formula Ford's start their race at a 1969 meeting. A terrific viewing spot
was from above the pits, looking down on the cars during pit stops with a good view of Russell Bend and the starting grid.
