Andrew Kitson was born in Cambridge, England and has a lifelong interest in Motor Racing, thanks to his father who was
a racing mechanic in the 1960s. As a boy most of his Sundays
were spent at racing circuits around the UK, especially at Snetterton, Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
Whilst at college in the 1970s studying Technical Illustration, he was helping teams in Formula 5000 and Formula Ford at weekends, as an extra pair of hands. In that decade he also developed a love of music, especially Rock and Progressive Rock, which endures to this day.
Having worked as an Illustrator in the Automotive industry, Andrew tried his hand at some racing action paintings, as a hobby at first, using his training and experience. Soon drivers and teams that he knew from the racing world would ask for paintings of their cars. One thing led to another!
Andrew is proud to have produced artwork for Ferrari, Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton, Sir Jackie Stewart, Honda, the BRDC and many other well known racing personalities, teams and companies. In addition his Music album cover work provides scope for great creativity to a whole new audience.
With an enduring passion for both Motor Sport and Music, exciting new work continues to emerge from Andrew's studio, based within earshot of Snetterton circuit.
